Papawai lands are located approximately 3kms southeast of Greytown. Turn off SH2 onto Papawai Road.
In 1999 options were developed for upgrading the level of flood protection surrounding the Waiohine River.
A proposal to irrigate approximately 40% of the farm was initiated by the lessees in 2006 with significantly improved pasture quality just 12 months later.
In 2008 a new three bedroom farmhouse with internal garage was built after fire destroyed the original farmhouse.
Scholarship students and their whānau continue to plant native trees and flaxes along waterways.
The Board is in discussions with the South Wairarapa District Council regarding the return of land along Tilsons Road which was severed from the original block.
In 2015 trustees agreed to an ecosystem restoration plan to protect and enhance the remnants of a Kahikatea forest on the farm.
Long-time lessees Robert and Christine Scott have retired from farming and this block now has a new lessee.
